Porohy #12 (2025)
The past few years have dispelled any lingering illusions — this is not the “end of history,” empires have not vanished, and freedom is never granted once and for all. It must be fought for — and fiercely defended. This issue of Porohy explores the continuity of the confrontation with Russia, a struggle that runs across centuries, regimes, and borders. Inside, you will find an article on restoring Sergei Korolev to the pantheon of Ukrainian heroes — stripped of Soviet masks and colonial distortions. We examine how Czech historiography still, by inertia, reproduces narratives shaped under the suffocating pressure of the Kremlin’s totalitarian machinery, and why revisiting them is a matter of European security and intellectual integrity…
